HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

It's a wee bit early to celebrate Halloween, but I simply can't resist this photo of a little pumpkin in a pumpkin hat!
Have arrived at my sister's in Plainfield, IL without delay or difficulty; flew Southwest Airlines from Detroit Metro to Midway. In a real anomaly, my flight arrived 15 minutes early! On such a short flight (scheduled travel time was one hour and five minutes) that's nearly unheard of!
While waiting to be picked up by Brenda and kids (I must digress. . . how wild. . .to be picked up at the airport with my 16-year-old nephew Seth at the wheel and 13-year-old Laynie riding shotgun!) . . .anyway -- while waiting on the curb for my ride, I noticed a cell phone laying in the road. Dashed out into traffic to retrieve it. Of course, I found a phone where the owner did not take a moment to put in any ICE numbers or Emergency numbers. Fortunately, the phone rang while I was standing there. . . .it was the owner's son! Long story short (as Brenda says) . . . via several phone calls between said son and his mother's cell phone and the one I'd found, I was able to return it. . . it wasn't too hard to spot the owner . . . he was driving a gold Mercedes! My good deed for the day.
Brenda and I are headed out in about an hour to visit Mom. We are having her care-consultation today and also taking her to the eye doctor for a vision test and new glasses. It should be quite the day!
I will be flying out of Midway on Halloween morning; my flight into Salt Lake City arrives about 12 noon and from there will hop on the Salt Lake Express for the ride back to Pocatello (hopefully, I can get the driver to stop in Inkom so Josh doesn't need to drive into Pokey to pick me up). Despite the fact that I'm already missing Glenn (who remained in Michigan until November 18 for deer hunting) and will miss all the knuckly-head Hilleslands, am also looking forward to seeing my little pumpkin in person! Sigh.
