DAVIS DAYCARE, DAY SPA AND DRUMS

Nearly every day Miles and Grandpa include on the list of afternoon activities a trip to the attic where they practice their percussion skills on Daddy's professional drum set. Judging by this photo, Miles seems to enjoy this part of his day.
We teased him yesterday about needing the full complement of Davis Daycare and Day Spa services. Not only did we pamper him with love and affection, he received lovingly prepared meals, a bath and pedicure. In addition, relaxing time napping on the 'big bed,' and stimulating activities such as reading board books, making towers of empty yogurt and cottage cheese containers and of course, the twice-daily "Handsome Guys of America" parades!
All of this, plus the novel experience of meeting one of the Bannock County appraisers who came out to initiate our home being on the tax rolls.
Today, Miles will be fascinated (we hope) by the appearance (we hope) of the "Gutter Guy" who is to install them, front and back, today thus eliminating (we hope again) the small ice-skating rink that forms on our back patio during cold days with sunny skies. . .perhaps just in time (we are still hoping) for spring.
We are greeted this morning with sunny, blue skies with promises of temperatures near 50-degrees on Friday. Frankly, I like winter but when we get to this transition point between seasons, well. . .let's just get on with it. We've experience several successive days of warm weather, warm enough to create pretty significant melting and runoffs. Then, back to cold temps and some light snow. I love Mother Nature, but when it comes to stuff like this, well, I just wish she'd make up her mind. Are we still in winter? Or headed to spring? The back-and-forth makes me nutty.
