The Guest Room and Bath
The guest room is on the west side of the house, so its window looks out onto the front porch.

The guest room actually has its own bath adjacent to it. We installed a large shower in it, our philosophy being that few folks actually take showers when visiting others. So, no tub but a generously-sized shower!

The Master Bedroom and Bath

The master bedroom is located on the southeast corner of the house and is also generously proportioned (20'6" x 16'). Like the guest room, the MBR and its adjacent bath are painted in Tinsmith Gray and Cavern Clay, both colors from Sherwin Williams. The carpeting in these rooms is also gray.

This patio door and flanking 3' x 5' windows face east, so we get the morning sun. However, since the back deck is so deep (12') it's not a glaring sun (at least not yet. . . but then again, it's winter!).

This is our view from the bed in the Master Bedroom. Look closely and the runs at Pebble Creek Ski area are visible near the center of the picture.

The master bathroom is connected to the bedroom by a short hall. On either side of this hall are two walk-in closets, one for each of us.

At the back of this photo is the door for the shower stall. Doug, the "Tile Guy" did a marvelous job of working with our tile pallette and within our budget.

The two windows above the corner tub are in the very southwest corner of the house. In the winter, we notice the afternoon sun streams in and helps keep the bathroom toasty. We'll see if it means we're sweating in there in the summer!

The tub is NOT jetted. We concluded that we infrequently take baths but use the shower almost daily. So, we invested the money saved by not having a jetted tub into an upgraded shower head and hand-held wand system.

The master bath vanity features two sinks. (The corner tub would be to the right of the vanity).

Reflected in the mirror is the opposite bathroom wall. This was wasted space in the original floor plan; we had additional cabinetry installed for storing linens, cleaning and paper products and other sundry stuff!

A little out of order, this picture shows the 1/4 - 1/3 portion of the bonus room that is finished. It's in the center of the house on the north end. This will be the area for Glenn's trophies (antlers, turkey fans and head mount) once we get organized enough to hang them!

The picture was taken from the doorway to the unfinished "attic" where I have my sewing machine set up and we store a wide variety of "stuff". Also, son-in-law Joshua has set up his drums in there.
