Glenn snapped the photo above of the back of our house because of the sunflowers. We have been delighted this summer with the many appearances of Nuttal's Sunflowers on our property. Where ever the soil was disturbed during the building process these yellow beauties have appeared!
Miles is quite fond of the color yellow and also likes flowers. This picture illustrates how high the flowers are; Miles is 29" tall. The sunflowers have grown in profusen all along our driveway, the south side of the house and other areas on our property. We're not planning to have any lawn, so these natural flowers are a welcome addition to the alfalfa which appeared again (our lot used to be a field), sage and other native plants!
