"Weathering" the Vein Clinic

For the folks who may have followed the saga of Glenn's recent health issue (see "Weather Vanes; Whether Veins") here's a short update.  He met with the vascular surgeon at the Idaho Vein Center this a.m.  This doctor believes the first doctor (who performed the attempted angioplasty and possible stent insertion procedure) was not 'agressive' enough.
Well, Doc #1 did tell us he was quite cautious, in part due to the small diameter of Glenn's arteries near the trauma point.  However, Doctor #2 believes that angioplasty and possible stent insertion may still be feasible.  So, they are scheduled to try again on Tuesday, March 1.  However, this next time, the vascular surgeon will be on call and an operating room at the ready should any problems develop.  If this doesn't work (the second time 'round), we may be back to arterial bypass surgery as the cure.
However, Doctor #2 told Glenn that he's (A) young and (B) in excellent health so his recommendation is the angio/stent because a Glenn is quite likely to outlive the useful life of the bypass, ie, he'd have to have it done again sometime in the future.
