Just a bit of family news here.  Pictured here is my nephew, Seth Hillesland, (yes, that's Brenda's boy!) going up for two!  Seth, 17 and a senior (wow-already?!), plays for his high school team, Oswego East.  In this game, his Wolves defeated rival Plainfield Central 65-52 to clinch the Southwest Prairie Conference title.  The game was played at the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls.
Seth is not certain where he will attend college, but is looking at options now.  Once basketball playoffs end, however, he'll move onto the Varsity Baseball team.
Although I have no current photo to post, a little shout-out about Laynie Hillesland, who is now 15 and  a freshman at Oswego East and involved in the Speech Club and Scholastic Bowl.  Laynie was a starter on the freshman girls' A Volleyball team and will tryout for the school's badminton team this coming week.  After one semester in high school, Laynie is ranked academically number 6 in her class of 581!
