CAMPIN' AND RELAXIN'

Spending lots of time outdoors can be tiring, but when it's during a camping trip, a certain amount of relaxing slumber is an acceptable, and even preferred, activity. Miles and Meghan joined us for two nights of camping on the shores of the Mackay Reservoir. They arrived Friday, late-afternoon.
Saturday we spent about 2 1/2 hours at the city park in Mackay where lots of grass, shade and playground equipment made for a pleasant place to while away a summer day. Miles especially liked swinging with grandpa. Later that day we took a swim in the reservoir and made a nice dinner.
A drive to the Challis area occupied a few hours Sunday. A gorgeous trip through the Grandview Canyon. Challis turned out to be less than expected, but we did visit the Yankee Fork Visitor Center which was quite well done and told the area's history especially as relates to mining.
An afternoon snack, a quick bath in a dishpan, and Miles was ready for the ride home (he slept a good portion of the way). We think he'll be back!
